The following Case Studies are intended merely to give you an idea of what can be done to transform a garden.
Every client is different, with different tastes, lifestyles, and budgets that have a great deal of influence on the design and all of the elements used. On top of that, every property is different - different aspects, soil types, and surrounding influences all make an impact on the kinds of plants and materials chosen, drainage and other issues.
For me, a successful garden design is about getting all of these areas right, and most importantly, making the best possible design that the client will love!
So don't forget that the gardens shown here are here only to give a few examples of different styles, and to get you thinking - they are by no means the limit - and they were designed in close consultation with the client, to their brief and tastes; yours may not be the same!
![]() INNER CITY ROOFTOP GARDENThe owners of this rooftop garden had tried to make it a space they would use (as it is their only outdoor space), but nothing seemed to work for them. |
![]() A SMALL, CLASSIC GARDEN RENOVATIONThe new owners had done their interior renovation, and now looked to the outside spaces to put the finishing touches on the property. |
||
![]() DRY CREEK BED GARDENThe clients are delighted with the result (and the very little time it takes to look after), and now spend hours each week in a garden they enjoy all year round. |
![]() 70s GARDEN RE-BORNThis 70's relic has been transformed from a run down mess into a modern, stylish and family-friendly space. By redesigning the garden to work as a whole, the owners can use the entire garden, with plenty of space for everyone. |
